Meet Alyssa
Hey Mamma, I'm Alyssa, your birth doula and mom friend. I'm passionate about supporting mammas and their families as they navigate pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I want to help you feel confident and empowered for your birth.

While I've recently experienced becoming a mamma myself I found that there really isn't enough support for birthing mammas (*cue the name inspo). My own two birth experiences really fueled my desire to help families prep for and birth better. After a failed induction and emergency cesarean in 2018 follow by a beautiful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) in 2020 I truly fell in love with birth. My passion for birth inspired me to continue to educate myself and do my part to support families in birth. I am truly honored to help you and your partner navigate this most beautiful transition in your life!

What even is a birth Doula?
A doula is an additional support person for you, the birthing mamma and your partner, during pregnancy, birth and the first couple weeks of postpartum. Doulas do not replace your spouse or partner, nothing we do can replace the special bond and love you share, however we are able to help them support you during birth. Doulas use knowledge and experience to provide you with emotional support, informational support, physical comfort and as needed communicative support with your provider and their staff to make sure you have the information you need to make informed decisions. As a doula I provide you and your partner reassurance and perspective, make suggestions as labor progresses, help with rhythm and relaxation, soothing touch, positioning and other techniques to provide comfort and relief. My job and only role is to take care of you, your partner and all your needs throughout labor.

A message from me!
Giving birth is such an incredibly beautiful time for mammas and their partners. It is my wish that you have an empowering birth regardless of how you plan to birth. Not only are you birthing your sweet baby, but you are also "birthing mamma", regardless if its your first, second, third, fourth or last baby, each birth changes you as a mamma. My goal is to ensure you feel supported through pregnancy, birth and those first few weeks postpartum. My services and packages are designed to meet you and your partner where you are at, I want you to be able to benefit from the support you need and desire. I know that support looks differently for each and every family which is why I offer, in person support, virtual support and birth prep. The memories of your birth stay with you and your partner for a lifetime. Whatever support you need, I am committed to helping you and your partner feel confident, supported and cared while you bring that precious new life into this world.
